Magic link not working
Most common reasons signers can't open a link — spam folder, expiry, password.
Most common causes
- Email landed in spam.Ask the signer to check Spam / Promotions. Senders we recently emailed should also be added to the recipient's contacts.
- Link expired. Magic links are valid for 7 days from issuance. If expired, the sender can hit Resend invite on the View Send Links view to mint a fresh link.
- Wrong envelope password. If the envelope is password-protected, the link still works but the signer needs the password before continuing.
- Envelope was voided / declined / completed by another recipient. The link opens to a state explanation — nothing the signer can do; they should contact the sender.
- Recipient was waiting in a sequential flow.Sequential envelopes only let the next recipient sign once the prior one finishes. The landing page will say "Waiting for [name]".
If none of the above
Email support@keendraft.com with the envelope ID (visible in the dashboard) and the recipient's email. We can inspect the audit chain and identify what happened.
