Upload your first PDF
How upload works, supported formats, size limits, and what to do if your PDF is rejected.
Supported files
KeenDraft accepts standard PDF files up to 25 MB. We validate the file's magic bytes server-side — renaming a non-PDF to .pdf will fail with a clear error.
Scanned PDFs (images of paper) work fine. The signer just won't be able to copy/paste text from them.
If your PDF is rejected
- "Not a valid PDF" — usually means the file is actually an image (JPG/PNG) or something else with a forced extension. Open it in a PDF viewer to confirm.
- "Could not parse the PDF" — the file is corrupted or password-encrypted. Re-export from the original source, or remove the password protection before uploading.
- "File is too large"— compress it. Most PDFs can shrink 40–60% with your PDF tool's "reduce file size" export or any browser-based compressor.
